Observance of Memorial Day.

Today we honor the fallen men and women from all wars. Memorial Day is not to be confused with Veterans Day (Nov 11th) which honors military veterans whom are alive and deceased. Take the time today to be thankful for those who have died protecting us.

Nook Exchange

So this time last Sunday I was enjoying my Mother's Day gift from hubbie a (Nook)....but I wanted a Nook color instead. So I found the receipt and exchanged it yesterday....hope hubbie won't be upset. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.....

Wonderful Weekend RECAP...

This weekend has been just wonderful. It started on Friday when  hubbie took us to the movies to see "FAB FIVE". I won't be a spoiler; but will say this was the best Fast & Furious movie thus far. Of course the kids could not leave the theater until they took a picture with this character.

Saturday was National Scrapbook Day. So, since I was unable to go scrapping in VA.(because hubbie had to work & the kids were home) I invited a few people over to celebrate NSD Day & Cinco de Mayo. We had Margaritas, Rum Punch,...Oh and Great food too :) It was great spending the day with the usual suspects * E & Kat*. There always down for some fun/scrapppin! It was also great to have Wendi come all the way to Maryland to scrapbook! It's been 3 years since we've scrapped together! We will never let that much time go by again. Now I can't forget my girl "Jana"!! Love her. It's been a year since I've seen her; but we picked right back up from where we left off. Had Monique & Jennifer scrap with us too! It was there first time over...so hopefully we did  not scare them away....Hee Hee...

Today is Sunday...Hope that all of the mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, aunts and sisters had a wonderful day. Morning started to the smell of....*breakfast food*. I went downstairs & started ready the paper when hubbie lays my gift on the table....just what I wanted ....*NOOK*

So I must say that this weekend was filled with love, family, friends, good food & drinks...What more could I ask for....



1st Wednesday Blog Showcase

After a nudge from my favorite Queen; I am now going to post a weekly showcase of blogs that I LOVE.

My first show cased Blog is Art Made With Heart by the one & only Shanna Vineyard. I have been stalking following her blog for 5 years. She just recently moved from her previous blog home at My Next Thirty Years . I really LOVE her work! Her designs are so stinking cute! Not only have I been a follower of hers for years; but have purchased layout kits & other items from her ETSY shop. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that she has been a DESIGNER at my favorite company for YEARS. That would be BO BUNNY. Here are some of  Her BO BUNNY stickers thas she has created. She is the true meaning of a SHERO being the mother of 7 kiddos! I don't know when she has the time to create.... Monday Musings

1.       Did you hear that Bin Laden was killed? I’m sure you did because that is all the news is talking about since last night & this morning.

2.       When are our troops coming home? Let’s talk about that!

3.       The last thing I wanted to explain to my kids this morning during breakfast was who Bin Laden was? But that is all the news was talking about....

4.       I really should have taken off today. I am exhausted from the weekend.

5.       Sunday was the 1^st times in 2011 that I did not go watch my husband play football. He lost both games and was at the field from 9am until 3:30pm. Glad I stayed in my jammies.

6.       Yesterday our neighbor finally moved his truck from in front of our house. I parked the truck there but drove it this am. I better be able to park in front of my house when I get home today.

7.       Are we the only family that has 4 large yellow recycling bins in front of our house every week? My neighbors usually have one that is only ½ full.

8.       I really want a new car. Either a CLK Benz or a 745 BMW…I’ll take either one for Mother’s Day…well a girl can dream.

9.       The kids had a great time at my son’s basketball party. But why did my husband and daughter try to play in flip flops?

10.   Wish I was home in my studio…cutting up paper!

Lakers in da HOUSE!!!

I've been a little quiet during the 1st round of the playoffs....But now I'm all about WINNING the FINALS! I am a Laker fan by default, I'm a PHIL JACKSON Fan! He has been my favorite coach for EVER! If he never would have left Chicago, I'd still be a Bulls Fan.
Anyway, to start off Round 2 of the Playoff's we surprised Kyle with a KOBE Jersey for his birthday. Let's go LA!

April has come to a end....

Yesterday, ended with a BANG! My baby boy had his 11th Birthday Basketball Party. He had a great time with all his friends. Here are a few pics from the day.
